Workspaces Part 2 : Individuals

Dustin Klein http://www.cadenceclothing.com/

I think he says it best, "Established in 2003, Cadence is intentionally kept as a small creative project of one person. Believing that boundless growth is not a necessary means of growth." At first he was a bike messenger making clothes and road worthy accessories on the side, and now hes developed a brand and is working with it full time. Awesome products with great DIY spirit.

While we're on the subject... Behind this whole fixed gear (and bicycles in general) revolution are honest working people doing what they love. Evolviong their skills, networking around the world, and working for themselves. Keith is no exception. His one man operation out of Portland, Oregon. He's got orders backed up for months for his Beautiful bicycle frames. Hand carved lugs, fillet brazed, stainless steel, carbon, anodized, track, road, cross, and custom everything! This guy is a machine.

I stumbled upon these not too long ago and had to learn more. Again, its the same idea here, an awesome person with determination is able to support herself by her craft. This picture in particular was taken in the morning right before she "went to work". I really enjoy the wall mounted rolls of fabric, the sliding drawer work table, the organization is awesome and the HUGE windows. What a workspace.

Soon enough my friends... soon enough.
