Inspiring People and their Workspaces

Interviews and seeing peoples studios are 2 of the most inspiring things to me. Here are some work spaces of people that are having fun doing their thing and are able to pay their bills from it.

She quit her 9-5 and now knits these sweet necklaces and scarfs 9 hours a day! This lady is becoming quite popular with all sorts of blogs and in-tune culture magazines. This is all she needs. Her yarn storage , little cubbies for needles and whatnot, and a desk with a computer and digital camera to model her wares for the world. Very inspiring.

This couple from New York are thinking outside the box and making futuristic clothing all from up-cycled and dead stock fabrics. I'm a huge fan. I think they have a section in a bigger workspace with other creative 20-somethings. This is my dream studio. Huge work table, all the patterns hanging neatly, sewing table, storage, and it doesn't look cramped at all.

This team from Philly makes messenger bags and more for the messenger and fixed gear community. The largest of the 3 small operations in this post. They have friends working for them (employees!) making bags and doing this really great applique work that Ive never seen anywhere else. You can see by their website and having developed different types of bags and sizes that they are doing really well for themselves.
Im hopeing with this economic storm were all weathering, that more people are encouraged to do what they love and make a living off of it.
