Dear Jamie,
Twenty-eight years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
And I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?
ooh, ooh ooh
and I try, oh my god do I try
I try all the time, in this institution
And I pray, oh my god do I pray
I pray every single day
For a revolution
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head

I love you.

SPGT Shop Now Open!

www.spgt.etsy.com

Rod and i went on a little photoshoot yesterday and when we got home i started creating my online store. This is only 1/3 of the items i have completed and ready to sell but i just couldnt wait any longer to show everyone. Within the next week expect more tanks, some tie dyed goodness, and a couple pieces that i think will set SPGT apart from other handmade clothing brands.

Theres a website in the works, as well as banners that you guys can post everywhere.

If you have time after checking out my shop id suggest cruising etsy.com and seeing what other people are making and selling. Theres soap, cookies, jewelry, vintage desk clocks, handbags, some art.... tons of things.

The website should have a more in depth story about SPGT so everyone can get a better feel for where im going with the brand.

Oh, any feedback would be awesome. This is one giant learning experience and you guys are my target market, so let me hear what ya think.

Finally, A Portable Pet Feeding/Watering System For Your MP3 Player

Let's face it. You and your pet don't share the same "taste" in music. That's why TechnoPetz created iFeast, the portable pet feeding/watering system for your MP3 player. Mealtime will never be the same for your pet with iFeast.

No, the products aren't real. But the empty boxes are. Wrap your otherwise forgettable gift in an Onion gift box, and watch their faces fall when they realize there is no such thing as a pet feeding/docking station for an overly pampered pet—just a crappy bric-a-brac inside you waited until the last moment to buy.

Box dimensions: 12"x9"x4"

Sold individually or in multi-box sets. More designs available. See all boxes.

Turns Your Hat Into Another Pocket!

Use your head and stay organized! The Visorganizer is a revolutionary carrying case for everything you need to make it through your busy day whether you're a pro golfer, a retired ship builder, a club DJ, or a busy mom on the go. And it clips on the front of your favorite hat. Pack it with up to 7 lbs. If it has a visor, it needs a Visorganizer!

No, the products aren't real. But the empty boxes are. Wrap your otherwise forgettable gift in this gift box, and watch as the recipient struggles to feign enthusiasm for a hat-affixed organizer pocket. Or take joy as their faces fall upon realizing there is no such thing as a Visorganizer—just a crappy bric-a-brac inside you waited until the last moment to buy.

Box dimensions: 12"x9"x4"

Many designs available. See all boxes. Also available in a 4-pack.

At Last, A Personal Debris-Removal System That Will Not Cause Injury If Used Properly

Why reach for a broom and dustpan when a clean floor is just a few steps away? For comfort, cleanliness, and sculpted calves, no other footwear-mounted cleaning product can beat the Kleen•Stride. Great for back pain sufferers, too!

No, the products aren't real. But the empty boxes are. Wrap your otherwise forgettable gift in an Onion gift box, and watch their faces fall when they realize there is no such thing as a boot-attached personal debris-removal system—just a crappy bric-a-brac inside you waited until the last moment to buy.

Box dimensions: 12"x9"x4"

TOP 5 MAXs

If you have an X in your name you're already too cool for this world. Maybe even too cool for the universe. Who DIDN'T wish their name was Max when they were younger? I got stuck with the most popular boy's name in the world, and an uncomfortably long last name, but I digress.
Here I'm gonna count down my favorite people named Max.

5.
Yeah, it's pretty unsanitary to do magic tricks and serve food, but I will let it slide. Whenever Zack or Lisa had a problem, they'd ask Max for advice when he dropped off their food. His answer was always an excuse to do magic that didn't help at all. I have no doubt in my mind that he had a personal relationship with all his teenage customers, as long as they didn't attend Valley High. Booooo.
4.
Anything animated on MTV was awesome and I wasn't allowed to watch it. But I usually managed to anyway. I don't know what to say about this guy other than he has 2 x's in his name so he's twice as cool.
3.
MIGHTY MAX. These toys ruled my childhood and I lost pieces in many a couch cushion. There was also a cartoon that was pretty cool, but the main attraction was the toys.Micro playsets with monsters. I couldn't ask for anything more. Honestly I couldn't, and trust me I've tried.
2.
You know what, I was never embarrassed of my parents as a teenager, because my parents are cool. Straight out of Disney's most angst ridden animated feature, Max made it cool to be ashamed of your parents. How would you feel if your dad constantly dropped dumbbells on his head? You'd probably rebel by lip syncing Powerline songs in your school's auditorium, too.
1.
Best Max ever. Mad Max Rockatansky. You don't have to be the feral kid to look up to him. He carries a double barrel shotgun, which is like standard for police in the future, but still, how awesome is that? Everyone hates Mel Gibson these days, but he's the Road Warrior and you're not so get a life you nerds.

Honorable mention: Max Headroom- uhhhh... no. The only good thing to come out of this character was the TV heads of Ronnie Regan and MJ (rip) at the 80s Diner on Back To the Future 2.
Max Payne- Classic video game, but his last name is Payne. Max Payne. Overkill on the coolness factor.

Happy trails.

The Status Faction! Silverlake Spring/Summer Champs 09!

Ok. Right off the bat i just want to say congrats to my peeps on T$F. Leroy, Lilly, Mike, Brandon(s), Nate, Kellen(I guess):Well done, well done. Last night you guys outplayed us fair and square and it was honestly one of the most exciting championship matches I've ever played in. Two teams evenly matched going at it on the dball court, the crowd going wild, the Rocky heme on the P.A., an entrance tunnel with fog and lights?!? What?!? I seriously thought I was on WWE Monday Night Raw. But I digress. You guys killed it and I'd much rather be taken out by my friends than some deep v-neck cool dudes. Like this guy:So that bring us to the beginning of the West Hollywood summer season tomorrow, and if the Jamboree was any indication this season's gonna be a bloodbath! DodgeFathers, Reignballs, and Le Dodge are back and better than ever. The Mellencamps have disbanded to form the new deadly Baywatch Afterparty. Who will survive and what will be left of them? For sure mark your calendars for this one. TAWS Jam! July 29th 9pm. Save the date!

This has been a TAWS Sports presentation.

Workspaces Part 2 : Individuals

Dustin Klein http://www.cadenceclothing.com/

I think he says it best, "Established in 2003, Cadence is intentionally kept as a small creative project of one person. Believing that boundless growth is not a necessary means of growth." At first he was a bike messenger making clothes and road worthy accessories on the side, and now hes developed a brand and is working with it full time. Awesome products with great DIY spirit.

Keith Hufnagel http://www.hufnagelcycles.com/

While we're on the subject... Behind this whole fixed gear (and bicycles in general) revolution are honest working people doing what they love. Evolviong their skills, networking around the world, and working for themselves. Keith is no exception. His one man operation out of Portland, Oregon. He's got orders backed up for months for his Beautiful bicycle frames. Hand carved lugs, fillet brazed, stainless steel, carbon, anodized, track, road, cross, and custom everything! This guy is a machine.

I stumbled upon these not too long ago and had to learn more. Again, its the same idea here, an awesome person with determination is able to support herself by her craft. This picture in particular was taken in the morning right before she "went to work". I really enjoy the wall mounted rolls of fabric, the sliding drawer work table, the organization is awesome and the HUGE windows. What a workspace.

Soon enough my friends... soon enough.
